One thing I don't see here: Muraresku does discuss how psychedelic drugs may just be a shortcut for "dying before dying". So he does explicitly state that psychedelics are not the only way (also in some of the old religions, lying on one's back in a cave for example). But point taken that humans being what we are, "miracle cures" are coming, and people will indeed seek out and try psychedelic drugs as such a shortcut.
